The BOPA Education and Training Subcommittee would like to invite you to one of our live webinar sessions in collaboration with Clinical Oncology Society of Australia on COSA Conference 2022 Highlights.

Jim Siderov

Qualifications

Jim commenced work in cancer pharmacy practice in 1989 soon after completing his BPharm degree. In 1998, he successfully completed the inaugural US Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP), re-certifying in 2006, 2013 and 2021. In 2004, he was awarded Fellowship to the SHPA, and in 2005 completed his Masters in Clinical Pharmacy. In 2015, the Australian Pharmacy Council credentialed him as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist. In 2019, he was admitted as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia for service to oncology pharmacy as a clinician, and to professional associations.
Jim has been an active member of many professional organisations, including the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) Committee of Specialty Practice in Oncology and the Cancer Pharmacists Group of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia. He has been involved in the publication of professional standards of practice for Pharmacists as well as guidelines for the safe delivery of cancer therapies. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at local, national and international conferences.
Kate Wright
Senior haematology and oncology pharmacist
Orange Health Service, New South Wales
Kate commenced working in Oncology pharmacy in 2008, and has been working in rural NSW in Oncology since 2016. She has help develop the first Inpatient oncology/haematology unit offering acute leukaemia induction chemotherapy in rural NSW. Her passion is the treatment of Acute leukaemia and high-grade lymphoma, particularly in rural NSW, and brining world class, evidence-based treatment to patients living in rural and remote NSW. She is also a member of the COSA Cancer Pharmacist Group executive committee.
