The purpose of the NICaN Pharmacy Group is to lead and co-ordinate the planning and delivery of equitable and high quality Pharmaceutical Services to all patients within the Northern Ireland Cancer Network. They are the source of expertise to both the NICaN Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Clinical Reference Group (CRG) contributing to the annual work plan and agenda and to the Network providing pharmaceutical advice on cancer care issues. The group works in partnership with other tumour and cross cutting clinical reference groups to support the development of clinical guidelines, policies and structures to ensure consistency and equity of care for all patients. The Core Members have expert knowledge of cancer pharmacy and have assigned tasks which form the overall annual work programme.
