Project to link members to MPharm course in the UK

Dear BOPA Members,

The Education & Training subcommittee are working on a project to link BOPA members into every undergraduate MPharm course in the UK, with the aim of providing a standardised lecture once per year to provide an understanding of the role of the pharmacist in cancer care, what this career path might look like, and share useful resources.

We also hope this will encourage universities to build relationships with specialist cancer care pharmacists to deliver other cancer specific teaching, and provide opportunities for BOPA members to develop their teaching skills.

As a first step, we are inviting any members who already have a link with a university to please get in contact and let us know. This will allow us to identify where there are gaps to take forward to the next stage of planning.

Many thanks for your help with this initiative.

Jenni Pirrie & Netty Cracknell
