Update on BOPA Website
Dear BOPA Members
Our new website was launched in 2016. The website delivers additional functionality, and has a more modern feel to it.
The website project has taken longer than anticipated, and has had quite a difficult development path, and there remain a number of issues still outstanding. (For example we are not able currently to issue certificates on completion of e-learning).
Following a period of discussion and negotiation with Open-Health, the website hosts and developers, we have taken the decision, jointly, to discontinue the relationship with them with respect to the hosting and maintenance of the website. A number of factors influenced this decision, a key one being the on-going revenue charges for the support of the website.
This leaves the committee with both a challenge and an opportunity; we are actively seeking a company to take over the hosting and management of the website, while also looking to utilise the expertise available to us both within the committee and outside of it.
We would therefore like to hear from any of our BOPA members with IT expertise / website management experience who would be willing to help support our website in the coming months. To volunteer please contact either Netty Cracknell [email protected] or myself [email protected] and entitle email BOPA DIGITAL SUPPORT
